- One of the three of all the original 150 students to succeed in achieving black
belt status.
- 1966 Korean Army championships: Welterweight Silver Medalist
- Chosen twice as the most able instructor in an elimination contest held by the Korean
Federation to represent them in Vietnam and Thailand
- Appointed as Assistant instructor to the USAF 314th Air Division at Osan in 1969
- Chosen by Great Grandmaster Hwang Kee to be on the National Demonstration Team to
demonstrate Tang Soo Do for the high ranking military personnel and celebrities
- In 1972 he was appointed Head instructor to the 314th Air Division with five assistant
Black Belt Instructors and some 350 students
- Hosted the 5th All American Tang Soo Do championship with great success, his own
team winning the championships
- From 1972 to 1976 he participated in many major events such as: -Special High Black
Belts Training Courses -Children`s Tang Soo Do championships -Celebration Demonstrations -Young
Person`s championships
- Appointed as Chief Instructor of Greece
- Accepted an invitation from Grand Master Kang Uk Lee, the Chief Instructor for Europe,
to take responsibility for Tang Soo Do in Wales and West
- Featured in the June 1983 Combat Magazine (Front Cover)
- Performed at the Princess Ann Royal Show
- In 1984 he arrived in the United States to open the T.M.Kim Tang Soo Do School in
Norcross and to hold the position of Vice President of the international Tang Soo
Do Federation and Chairman of the Technical Advisory Committee
- April 2,2000 -Awarded 9th Dan from the International Tang Soo Do Federation
- Founder and President of the Global Tang Soo Do Association
- Since then he has opened several school across Georgia. In addition to himself, his
four children are all advanced Black Belt holders. Having achieved the title of Grandmaster,
he continues to promote and spread the art of Tang Soo Do.
